8/22/2025-9/26/2025 - Pack the Pantry
As an institution, we have been collecting items for the pantry for our students to start the year off right! Thanks to the generosity of our campus community, especially our AP & Faculty colleagues, we collected an incredible 3,527 donations — that’s 88% of our 4,000-item goal! A huge shoutout goes to everyone who donated, as well as to the Support Staff Association and University Police for coordinating this initiative. Your hard work and compassion make a real difference for Cardinals in need. |

4/25/2025 - Patricia Altergott Silent Auction
Patricia’s silent auction was a success!! Thanks to everyone who participated we have collected well over $4,500 for John and his family. It filled my heart with such joy to see everyone from a multitude of departments come together. I want to give a special thank you to the administration that allowed us, guided us, and supported us through this process. I want to give a shout-out to the Registrar’s for their team coming together to help collect, house, set up, and hand out all of the prizes! Thank you to the Philanthropy Committee for always being open to last-minute meetings to make this possible. But most importantly thank you to everyone for their time and dedication to helping a fellow co-worker and family member. It warms my heart to see our Cardinal Community come together as one. |

12/09/2024 and 12/10/2024 - Share the Warmth
During the months of October and November, SVSU Support Staff Association collected a very generous amount of winter accessories. Half of the items collected were distributed on Monday, December 9th by Kathleen Chantaca-Kubczak to the Saginaw City Rescue Mission. The other half of the items were distributed on Tuesday, December 10th by Kimmie Bromberg to the Good Samaritan Rescue mission in Bay City. The items collected are listed below.
